Chris has been designing and making fine furniture for twenty-five years. From his workshop in the Scottish Borders he produces furniture to commission for private and corporate clients and contributes to occasional exhibitions. Furniture is made in native hardwoods, often coupled with detailing in fruitwoods, laburnum, bog oak - or with the introduction of other complementary materials, such as leather, slate and metal. Designs are contemporary, often understated, allowing the inherent quality of the timber to show through.
He occasionally collaborates with other designers and makers on innovative projects.
